This is a picture of my set up.

I did it! My little hands were getting sore from writing so many autographs, but I loved every minute of it! I even did a story reading out of my book and the kids actually stayed and were intrigued. It was all so exciting to me, a little nervous at first, but then I had fun with it! It was done at the Beaufort Pirate Invasion in North Carolina inside the little gift shop. The ladies that worked there said that I sold the most books that had ever been sold in a book signing there.  The Old Beaufort Shop now carries my book in their gift shop. And to top it off, I had another store that also wants to sell my books, called the Scuttlebuck in Beaufort, North Carolina. Now I can’t wait for Book TWO!  The second book in the Sarafina series should be out early in 2016.

Reenacting a pirate's life is fun.

It’s a long way from Georgia to Massachusetts by car, but I love my life. You see, I reenact historical episodes, my favorite being pirates. The drive from event to event gives a lot of time for thought, introspection, and playing those fun license plate travel games.

I also get to travel with the one I love. Together we entertain and educate about pirates and the life at sea.

Do you remember when you were a child and you decided what you wanted to be with only one criteria in mind? It was about pure FUN, and that’s how I see my life.

So as we make our way up and down the east coast of the United States, I get more inspiration for the Sarafina series of books I’m writing. Be sure to enjoy the first one, Sarafina and the Pirate’s Spyglass. I can’t wait to share the next part of her adventures in 2016.
